Storbyen, in central Sarpsborg, is considered the regional centre for Østfold County, based on its size and versatile offering. Storbyen shopping centre has been experiencing sales growth and a great increase in the number of visitors, after being recently refurbished with an additional 2,000 m2 with many new restaurants and shops. Storbyen has been given a completely new facade onto the square, where several of the cafés and restaurants have also set up outdoor service.
Storbyen attracts approximately 7,900 customers on weekdays and 7,000 on Saturdays.
